Super Greens Detox Smoothie

We love to drink green smoothies, specially on summer time! It’s refreshing and will give you that extra iron, complete protein and vitamin B12.

Green smoothies with Grilo Super Greens & Cricket Powder blend are one of our favourite ways to recover and boost our iron intake. One serve (10g) of Grilo Super Greens has 53% of the recommended daily intake (RDI) of iron and 40% of Vitamin B12 RDI. If you’ve been feeling tired, fatigued or light-headed often, you should probably check your iron levels. Plus, one thing you probably didn’t know: animal protein – such as cricket protein – help boosting iron absorption from plant sources.


  • 1 tbs (10g) Grilo Super Greens & Cricket Powder
  • 2 medium bananas, previously sliced and frozen
  • 1 handful of leafy greens such as spinach or kale
  • 1 medium fresh mango (chopped)
  • 1 green apple (chopped)
  • 2 small pieces of cucumber
  • 1 tsp fresh turmeric (chopped)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (chopped)
  • 1 tbs fresh parsley
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 1 cup of water or coconut water
  • Ice cubes


Toss all ingredients into blender and blend until creamy and smooth. You can add more or less water (or coconut water) depending on how thick you like your smoothie. Pour into a glass and top it with whatever you like!
